Hey there! I'm Sadie and I'm so happy you're here! I haven't always been a family photographer--in fact, in high school I swore I'd never do photography. As a girl from Utah where everyone with a camera is a photographer, it felt so overrated and cliche. But, here we are! I eventually picked up a camera, learned the ins and outs of the technical side of photography and found that in fact, I did want to be a photographer! The more families I photographed, the more I realized how often people avoid family photos because of all their worries. What do we wear? What if our kids don't behave? How do we pose? I feel awkward! What the heck do we do with our hands!?
This is when I really started to develop Sadie Jane photos into a premier family photo experience where I take care of all the details and create joyful, timeless photos! I found that providing a "chill" family photo environment where the kiddos take the lead and we follow was fun for everyone and produced the most genuine smiles, laughs, and everyone's favorite photos.  

ABout ME

I am a mom to my favorite tiny human, an adventure enthusiast, dog mama to two fur babies, married to the love of my life, and I love to try new things--new food, new places, you name it! I grew up a little bit of everywhere including Washington State, Las Vegas, southern Utah, spent nearly four. years in Denver--which is where Sadie Jane Photos was born, and now I'm here in Roseburg, Oregon and I couldn't be more happy with where we are at. My husband and I took a trip up the southern Oregon coast our first year of marriage and we had always dreamed of maybe one day living in Oregon, but it never felt like it would be a thing. Nearly four years later, my husband was recruited to be a physical therapist at the Roseburg hospital and we just couldn't pass up the opportunity. We love Roseburg because of the close knit community, slower pace of life (compared to Denver), and access to the mountains, Umpqua River, and of course the beautiful Oregon coast. 

When I'm not behind the camera or out exploring, I really enjoy snuggling up with a good book, binge watching the latest season of Virgin River, or snuggling my little boy.
